I am extremely happy to announce that I have been chosen as a summer design intern at the New York Times! This is a huge opportunity for me and although i know its not going to be a walk in the park, I am certain that I will learn a ton. Since moving here I have followed the Times in print, on screen and the amazing iphone app which has helped to keep me sane on the subway. Needless to say I am really excited.
Here is some NYT related design inspiration
All mages are from various Graphis Annuals from 1960 something… I will try to remember which years these came out of. The following three are part of a book campaign from the Times by Rudi Bass. I really love these ads.

Besides the obvious paper itself, T magazine and the sunday magazine here are some links for some other NYT projects i love.

I’ve already said it, but CONGRATULATIONS!!! You deserve it! Also, congratulations on the Uppercase Magazine feature! I won’t be able to make it to the launch but I will definitely buy one.
Congratulations, Ed! That is a fantastic accomplishment and well-deserved.
Go Ed!
