The New York Times Store
From 2017 to 2025, I served as the Creative Director for Commerce at The New York Times, with a primary focus on the New York Times Store. My role spanned the entire creative lifecycle of a product, from initial concept and development to sourcing makers and vendors, overseeing product photography, and managing the ecomm site and all marketing campaigns.
I built and led the creative team, growing it from a two-person operation to a robust group of talented designers, art directors, illustrators, and photographers. The team size was flexible, scaling up or down depending on the workload. I was proud to always remain an active designer on the team and to contribute to the work in in more than just the high level creative direction.
